Help Does USB-C work with a car port for music?

I actually have two USB-C phones ... an LG G6 and an LeEco S2 (discontinued Chinese device - Not bad, though :) ) that I can try. I won't be able to get to it until after work though. I'll let you know, but assuming it does work, then it still might not do you any good if it's the Samsung firmware, Oreo, the cable or the head unit .... or any combination thereof. :rolleyes:
 
I think it's down to USB-C, Oreo and Samsung. So if i can rule out the connection type and the Android version, that will be useful. As mentioned I've tested 2 Samsunf
 
I have an S7 edge to test, but it's type-A/B, not C so that might not be helpful, unless it truly is a Samsung thing.

I think it's down to USB-C, Oreo and Samsung. So if i can rule out the connection type and the Android version, that will be useful. As mentioned I've tested 2 Samsung devices (Note 8/S8) on 5 different head units with all sorts of cables with the same results.

I've got a Note 4, type a/b, used that till about 2 weeks ago when the new phone arrived. No problems. So I wouldn't be surprised if the S7 does work.
