doesn't load properly after TWRP installed

I installed TWRP recovery last night on my P5113.
Then i booted it up into TWRP and did a cache and dalvik cleaning.
after system booted up for the first time it showed "Optimizing... of 217 apps" there where 217 apps to be optimized.
It got done and now i've a blank desktop. the only thing that works is settings menu and menu bar (to switch Wifi, Bluetooth, screen rotation, etc. on or off)
No apps' icons no nothing!
What should i do now?

What rom? Stock?
What launcher? Stock?
Run adw launcher.
Go to play on computer, log in and download to ur phone.
It will push to phone.
Then you csn press home and set adw as defsult and u should have icons again.
 
stock rom is installed 4.1.1, i've stock luncher and adwluncher and Go luncher installed, none work.
what am i supposed to download from computer?
 
From home screen
Press menu
Go to settings
Go to applications
Go to adw
Clear cache and app data
Clear defaults of both launchers
Press home
Click adw

If u already have adw installed you cannot push it from the computer
But u go to play
U log in
U pick the app
U pick the device and say go.

there's no defaults for any launcher there, "clear defaults" is disabled which shows none of'em is the default launcher.
by using play if u mean on the device i should mention again that the device is kind of out of order! there's no icon to click on it.

flashing with a new rom is the only solution obviously, but i'm afraid of loosing data files of the game "clash of clans" other stuff isn't important. caz i don't have any backup!
 
Play on the computer
They have a Web sight you know

Long press on ur launcher screen in adw and select launcher actions.

Use the menu button and go to adw settings and try to add the app drawr.

Check ur two finger swipe options.
 
A reflash will wipe ur data.
Check out titanium backup and restore so u wont loose dsts in the future.
If you cannot get the app drawr back. [There is a way, u just haft to figure out that way sith the options u have] u may haft to reflash.

Just try using the adw menu and long press on the home screen background like u would to change background. But instead choose menu settings or launcher actions ect.
 
going to play and dl apps won't help at all caz the device doesn't load anything. for the 3rd time!
no app works, including titanium backup.
adw doesn't load to work, i've just a blank screen, in app manager i can't force stop or uninstall anything. when i do that nothing happens.
booted up into safe mode, even that doesn't work.
i think it's effed up.
 
U do know that I mean the play store websight
On a computer.
It wont matter about ur phone
U just pick ur device thst u have on ur google account and it will push thst app to ur phone. As long as the basis rom is working.

But if u cant uninstall adw it wont help u.

I think you have a much larger issue than no apps working.

Time to reflash.

I can't remember but can u backup and restore with twrp on the galaxy tab? I remember cwm being a lil bobo on that device. Do that before cache wipes next time if u can.

Sorry I dont know any other way to help u. I think a reflash is the best thing to do.

i'm going to reflash, the only think makes me sigh is loosing this damn game.
TWRP has backup option. system, cache, data, efs,boot,recovery.
i'm going to give it a shot.
what rom would u suggest? stock or a custom rooted one?
 
Galaxy tab original right?

I remember a rom I liked was somthing involving cubes

Stockish and gingerbread, no need to edit the partition sizes of the device.
 
Always rooted so u can use titanium backup
Buy it so u can backup automatically at night so when this happens u dont loose ur apps n stuff. U can also batch restore.
