Dolphin HD Browser Bookmark Import/Export Problem

Hello, I just got a new phone HTC Evo 4g LTE and I'm having trouble importing my bookmarks to my Dolphin Browser. My old phone had the Bookmarks to SD app installed which is no longer available so I was able to export my bookmarks to an .html file but now I have no way to import them on the new phone without this software. Bookmarks to SD won't even let me import them back into Dolphin on my old phone.

Even worse it looks like Bookmark to SD saves the .html file in a strange way so I can't even import them on my computer broweser. I'm at a total loss. Anyone else solved this problem or have any ideas?

i moved you to the Android App section since this is an app related question and not a specific phone question.

hmmmmm with dolphin you can backup and sync your bookmarks to the cloud. you can then restore your bookmarks as well. but you have to do that on your old phone first. not sure how to retrieve it from a html file though.....sorry.

If you haven't solved your problem yet you might use some unpolished work-around for to use the .html file with the bookmarks.

If you've moved the .html file with the bookmarks to the SD card of your new phone, try this line in the address field of your phone's internet browser ...

file:///sdcard/your .html file name

... assuming that your .html file is in the root of SD card.
But you can put in any other folder path.

Your browser should work as HTML reader now and show you the bookmarks as a list of shortcuts.
Don't forget to bookmark it ;)

BTW, "file:///" also should work with files at your PC's internet browser ...
