Dolphin Mini vs Dolphin HD...

Hello All,

I have a Samsung Transform (2.1) and was wondering if HD is better than the Mini client? I have been running Mini for a week now, and have noticed insignificant improvement and love the native integration with the phone. My question is, would going going from Mini to HD give me any significant advantages?

Hello All,

You would get many more options for customization, but the trade-off would be speed. A 'Mini' browser is much quicker.

If you're usually on fast connections the speed penalty for an 'HD' browser will hardly be noticeable. On slow connections it can be very convenient (and nerve soothing) to use a spiffy 'Mini' browser.
I currently use Dolphin HD and Opera Mini. Depending on the circumstances.

I actually prefer mini to hd - I find the interface much nicer, little things like changing the user agent are faster and easier in mini. It also has built in functionality to sync bookmarks with the standard browser - with hd you have to download another app to do that.

I like the interface of Mini more, but I feel that HD is faster and more familiar. I end up using HD more.

Though not as much as the original Dolphin Browser though. Note, its much easier to share links with the original Dolphin than with HD or Mini.

I just tried Mini. It does seem a little faster, but I use Webzine a lot in HD, it's my preferred RSS app. Mini looks a little crisper, but I really don't like green, does mini have any themes? Can't see any reason not to keep using HD. I don't like having to double tap gestures in mini. I use a "u" to switch user agent in HD.

Any way to get rid of the notification bar in either? Boat browser let you go full screen; on Dolphin "full screen" just gets rid of tabs, not notification bar.

I like how user friendly mini is.ESPECIALLY the fact that when u hit the menu button on mini it has the option to scroll btwn tabs right there.if Jr did that I probly wouldn't use hd.hd has the themes tho but I did find a blue/green mini and a blacked out mini.need a red one tho cuz my next Rom I'm using in my phone will b red here are the links for the minis http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22081064/
sig...in.browser.apk for the blue/green here's the black http://bit.ly/BlackedOutDolphinMini
