Domain authentication to browse file servers

Is there any android apps that would allow tablets to connect to a work domain via wifi and authenticate as a specified user. Then they could view network shares to open PDF, PPT, XML, and DOC files to display to on site customers?

I can ping the main file server from the tablet but when i try to connect to it it says Error, cannot find file server. I tried the IP address and the name address in dns as well.
