Done with sprint.

I have been having 3g issues lately in my area and they were apparently reported two days ago, well I have been having this issue going on 4 days now. I call sprint up today and let them know I am having issues the lady tells me that they will give me a $40 credit, for all my phones on the line (5 phones). I said ok thats fine but when will the service be back up, they didn't know so ok whatever I'll take the credit and be done.

No credit added to my account about 1hr later after I go pay my bill. I call them up and they say they can't give me a $40 credit, but they will give me $10 for the issues. So it goes from $40 to $10 awesome! I hate being told one thing only for something else to happen.

Im sorry but I pay a premium data price for no premium data and now I have issues with my 3g services WTF!!!!

On top of this they just changed there "premier" customer to gold/silver and now I no longer qualify for a upgrade every year, one of the things I look forward too. So now I will be paying full price to get the evo3d and Im not happy about it. This is one of the main reasons I stayed with sprint, I like my upgrades.

I am seriously considering switching services now no reason for me stay here and get sub-par data speeds. I think I will jump on over to verizon and see how they are.

7 years with sprint soon to end :(

As I understand it, if you have shared lines that total $170 or more, then you qualify as a gold tiered premier customer. I would think that with 5 lines, you would easily top that, no? Besides, Sprint just put themselves on the same tier as every other carrier when it comes to premier customers, with the only difference that they at least have a gold level to get to.

That said, if you aren't in an area with decent coverage, then I wouldn't have Sprint in the first place. First things first, I would only go with a carrier that covered where I spend most of my time.

I was told the other day that I was a gold premier customer because my bill does exceed their minimum, but today they tell me I am not because My base bill for the family plan is $129.99 with 1500 minutes (which I barely use 500 of those minutes, and thats with 5 people) I guess they dont count the extra 3 lines at $20 a pop which puts me over their minimum. I guess they want me to buy the 169.99 package with 3000 minutes, why the heck would I do that when I wouldn't use a quarter of the minutes? Yeah gold/silver idea was horrible, I love how they did it right before the new phones come out, I bet this puts a damper on the purchase of the newer phones. I am happy with my EVO I was only going to upgrade because It would cost me very little to get the newer EVO.

No my service is generally awesome in my area just the past few days have been bad with data.

From sprints site:
*3-month average includes base rate plans only. Add-on services do not qualify. The average is figured per plan before any discounts are applied. Additional lines on shared plans or multiple plans on the same account do not count toward the minimum spending requirement.

Yea... I buy my phones out right. Never know when you may need to end your service or start it up again.

The 'gold and silver' stuff is a load. They should have kept what they had going before. I could deal with that extra $10 or whatever a month. This stuff's ridonculous.

I should have but owell, lol.

I know its not like everyone on the plan was able to upgrade for a discounted price, just the primary. Im looking into verizon right now. I guess I will have to settle for the Thunderbolt.

Whatever floats your boat. The phones I pay for out of pocket, so it doesn't matter much to me either way. I go based on the carrier for the most part. Sprint, even after all this stuff, is still cheaper than Verizon, so I'm gonna be with them until either Verizon or someone else meets my requirements. Carrier foremost, the phone afterwards. (Unless it's with AT&T, all their Android phones are crippled.)

I know its cheaper but it will cost me $30 more with out my discount I get through them so it will end up about the same for me after my government discount is applied. So I will end up paying about the same as I currently do but I will get better services.

How much is the early termination fee? Would it not be cheaper/same price to take the contract offer, then terminate early if need be?

Asking because I don't know.

I looked into switching to sprint from verizon and it would be more expensive for us. The additional lines are all $20 instead of $10 and we only have one line with a smartphone. So for us they were $30 mire.

What is your plan with Verizon? Most people forget to factor in that Sprint is free Mobile to Any Mobile (All Carriers) so you don't need to have as many minutes.

We are on the 700 minutes plan with verizon with 5 friends and family, and we have to 4 lines. Each additional line is only $10. My bill is $130ish plus taxes. Sprint would cost me that for the first 2 lines and then I would have $40 in additional phone and $10 data charges. They would only be cheaper for us if we had 4 smstphones and even then with the new $10 data charge per line not by much.

I don't think you are calculating it right. I looked at Verizon not too long ago and they were significantly more expensive. Are you getting texts with Verizon and data for all four lines?

Early termination fee is $200 at the highest.

Save $250 (Evo/Evo Shift/Optimus/Transform)
Save $300 (Epic/BB 9330/Zio)
Save $350 (BB Style)

Idiots don't use their full-upgrade if they have it.
(There are certain circumstances where I see it being a valid reason, but not

They said they only had 1 line with a smartphone....

I have the $69. 99 700 minutes plan with unlimited texts and 1 unlimited data plan. Sprint would be more expensive for me because I don't need Data on 4 lines.
