Are you kidding?

The federal government "may put 16,500 IRS agents in charge of policing President Obama's health care bill."

Projection, not a promise

"The White House promised us that all the spending would keep unemployment under 8 percent."

It's after writing off all your business expenses.

Small businesses that have "$250,000 in gross sales for the business. They're the ones that are looking at massive tax increases."

Based flimsily on anonymous source in India

"The president of the United States will be taking a trip over to India that is expected to cost the taxpayers $200 million a day."

A small fraction of that amount was for alcohol

"Speaker Pelosi ... has been busy sticking the taxpayer with her $100,000 bar tab for alcohol on the military jets that she's flying."

But it is coming up short in payroll taxes

“Social Security, like I told you, is out of money. This year it is borrowing from the general treasury.”

Not exactly a peer-reviewed scientific survey

"The New England Journal of Medicine released a survey the week that President Obama signed Obamacare stating that over 30 percent of American physicians would leave the profession if the government took over health care."

Most will see lower premiums

"President Obama's bill won't bring down the costs (of health care) for average Americans -- or really for very few Americans, if any."

She should read the other 1,989 pages

Page 92 of the House health care bill "says specifically that people can't purchase private health insurance after a date certain."

Academic musings make easy targets for opponents

Ezekiel Emanuel, one of President Obama's key health care advisers, "says medical care should be reserved for the nondisabled. So watch out if you're disabled."

ACORN not getting money, not collecting data

ACORN will be a paid partner with the Census Bureau and "they will be in charge of going door-to-door and collecting data from the American public."

Bachmann's claim wrong, and illegal

Says the Constitution only requires her to tell the census "how many people are in our home."

mugs%2FBachmann.JPG

"Access to" and "actually getting" are two very different things

ACORN "could get up to $8.5 billion more tax dollars despite being under investigation for voter registration fraud in a dozen states."

Swine flu isn't blue

In the 1970s, "the swine flu broke out . . . under another Democrat, President Jimmy Carter."

Bachmann defends the greenback against an imaginary threat

"Secretary Geithner has left the option on the table" of abandoning the dollar for a multinational currency.

"Rep. Bachmann’s odd onscreen appearance, in which she seemed to be staring off-camera for the duration of her speech, was initially blamed on “a squirrel that got into the studio and distracted her,” said one Tea Party official."

LOL

That was incredibly awkward how she was looking off screen SO much.

There's no shortage of smart, capable women on the GOP side of the aisle, so I really wonder why the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse - Bachmann, Palin, Angle & O'Donnell - seem to have won the hearts and minds of the Tea Party Republicans. If there are four women officeholders or office seekers more uninformed, more bizarre, more dangerous, and more uncaring about the rabble they are rousing, I don't know who they might be.

So, the fact that she has 2 barely true, 7 false, and 6 pants on fire rulings bothers you, but the fact that Obama has 36 barely true, 43 false, and 3 pants on fire rulings doesn't?

And I do apologize, for some reason I read Michelle Rhee, instead of Michelle Bachmann. I don't know why.

LOL, hey let's not worry about what current officeholders are doing about the bad economy etc, look at what these three of four women who don't hold an office are saying!

Hey...it's fine with me if you are a fan of Michele Bachmann. I would expect no less.

I think she's an insane demagogue, and I wonder sometimes about the sanity of her constituents.

Actually, I relegated her to the same status as Palin. Someone who I've never heard say anything I thought was worth paying attention too...

You still didn't answer my question though... with Obama having far more lies and barely trues, why do hers bother you and his not?

Her statements don't bother me at all. I would encourage her to speak out more and assert a leadership role in the GOP. I think she's certifiably crazy and thus is the perfect spokeswoman for the tea party wing.

I enjoy seeing the absolutely crazies and the completely ignorant getting headlines on the GOP side of the aisle.

Frequent posting of satire could be considered trolling. Especially if the pendulum only swings one way.

Isn't all satire, by definition, trolling? :)

If there's satire for the other swing of that pendulum, I say post it - I love a good laugh and think there's plenty to be had from both sides, and three if you count the middle.

Laughter is often the only thing holding back depression over what our people in Washington are really about, for me anyway.
