dont resize photos mms

Master2k5

Newbie
hi might me a noob ?

But ever time i send a photo using mms it resizes the image to a really low size way below 300k which seems to be the max size you can send in a mms.

how do i send the photo in a text or mms and the phone not auto resizeing the photo.

i no i can use email to stop the resize but that doesn t help

Thanks in advance :)

So long as it's under 300k, then should be able to uncheck the 'resize?' warning so it asks again. Over 300k wont get sent.

Sounds like you hit the dont ask box.

yea what i am getting is

lets say the photo is 900kb you would think it would resize near below 300k it doesn t it resizes it to like 32kb or 16kb therefore the image quality sucks.

also checked mms settings and its set to 300k and there is not option to turn the resizing off it does it automatically
Please can anybody help

Does it also resize it physically to very small?

If it does and you are on O2 then its because O2 dont recognise it as a phone and until they do, the photos will be small.

yes small and i am using an o2 sim.

However i do have a new t mobile sim that i got with the phone will test that now and post back :)

the T mobile sim does the same thing please anyone who has the htc desire can you check this and tell me is it the same.

this might help matters every time i go to send a pic its in slideshow mode not justlike the iphone with a single image god this is pissing me off

Sorry have to disagree the quality is rubbish the iPhone deals with mms much better I am disappointed .
There must be a way to sort this out or is it a bug or is it correct thanks again.

This is how MMS has worked, on just about every handset, long before the iphone came along.

If the clarity of an image is that critical, then MMS isnt the best format.

I used to have an iCantPhone, and I have to agree. Everything else about it was crap though.
