Root Dont shoot me but...

I've just rooted my Desire, Currently running fro yo, o2 OTA version.

My question is after rooting... what do I do next? I assume i'm supposed to install a new rom to the phone.

The idea behind me rooting was to try and save sapce as I was sick of getting the internal storage space message on my phone all the time.

I've read the link on here about partitioning and its a little confusing. I'm also unsure as to which ROM I should get, plus there are loads of roms with add ons etc, that I'm also not sure what to do with.

You dont want to read partitioning first. First you must read the root memory FAQ.

You will need to flash a custom rom to get more space. There are 2 ways the rom can get you more space :

- Fool the phone into thinking a chunk of the SD card is phone memory. Called A2SD+ or Data2SD etc
- Flash a smaller rom and then shuffle the partitions on the phone so that there is more DATA space for your apps

Both are fairly easy but should never be undertaken until you've read up on them (see SU's comment above) and are sure of what you need to do. Wrong turns can have big consequences.
