Help Double apps?

I have the Verizon-branded Note 8, purchased directly from Samsung. I use the stock SMS/MMS app, Messages because it does its job remarkably well and integrates with Bixby.


I don't know why, but every once in a while I'll open up my running apps and I'll see TWO Messages apps running at the same time! I could understand that if I had one in the secure folder and one on the home screen... but that's not the case.


I don't see any other app duplicating... any thoughts?

i use textra exclusively and on the occasion i go into recent apps i don't ever recall seeing this, and that goes for any app.

yeah might have sane the secure folder too...

maybe next time, click on each unique instance of the app in your recents list and see if it goes to a different action.

do you use the optimization feature?

What other messaging app is active? Or just it list 2 of the stock messaging app?
