Help Double notification

Since last friday I have been getting some double notification on my x10.
The first notification is the normal sms logo on the top left but 3 sec. later I get another one and the thing looks like a post card in the top left and when you pull down the notification bar and click on it it does not do nothing. Any help on how I can get that thing to stop popping.
 
Have you got another sms app, like handscent or chomp? If so you might need to turn off notifications in the stock sms or the other sms app.
Since it does nothing that sounds like it might not be the case because it should open up the non stock sms app unless there is a fault with that.
 
This is a long shot you could try turning notifications off and on on the stock sms that might reset it.
 
Nope already tried that. When I turn it off the Post card style notification still pops out but not the stock one. Flipped it back on and both still come up.
 
ive had the same problem since updating to 2.1. still havent figured out how to fix it. its annoying! anyone figure it out yet??
 
Ya finally found out what the problem was!! I had downloaded beautiful widget 2 or something like that and there was a text message widget that was doing this double notification thing.
 
Ooooh I have Beautiful Widget but can't find anything for notifications. Glad you got your problem sorted out in the end.

I uninstalled the beautiful widgets 2 and problem is solved!!! Thanks!!!
