double tap to launch app

I'm tired of accidentally tapping icons and having to deal with quitting them before I can do what I set out to do. Is there an app that requires me to double-tap an icon to make it respond?

Not a direct answer, but possibly related....

On my S4 running 4.3, there is settings /device /display /increase touch sensitivity.

If you have that setting, make sure it's unchecked

Don't have a sensitivity option on mine. I guess all this is partly my fault -- I have an eensy 3.5" screen with 5x5 homescreen icons, so I have to aim carefully when tapping.

(have not will not root)

If you download Nova Launcher you can set certain "Touches" to perform certain tasks for you.

OK I've came up with a long winded way using Nova lol. Hope it makes sense....
Long press the screen, select "Nova actions" , select 'default page" .
An icon will appear. Long press it, hit "edit" , in "swipe action", in the APPS tab, select the app you want, hit the tick/check icon.
Now if you tap it it will just take you to home screen, you have to swipe the icon up to launch the app.
You can also rename it and change the icon by long pressing and hitting "edit"

Man I hope someone reads this lol :D

I don't like accidentally tapping the icons while scrolling in the app drawer either, so I created folders.

But, it looked kinda empty :p, so I decided to make additional tabs instead. No more accidental tapping.
