Help down loading photos

I must be doing something really silly. A friend is trying to send me a photo from an iphone and it comes up as a prompt to download or reject. I touch download and -it says downloading for a bit and then - nothing. What have I done wrong?

I'm also new to Android and defy. I have found that when I have cellular data disabled I can't download, but once I reactivate the data again it downloads OK. I also found while running juicedefender it wouldn't download no matter what settings I had, so I disabled it...

Try re-enabling cellular data and see how you go.

what you need to do is SEPARATE THE DATA FROM THE MMS by creating 2 APN;s

what carrier are you using???? tmobile, or AT&T, or H2O wireless, or simple mobile or which GSM carrier???
