Help downgrade firmware

If i downgrade back to stock 4.0.4 ics will i need to format my mobile or will my data still be there btw people i want to downgrade back to ics cause battery life is better

You should be able to flash the downgraded firmware straight over the top with Odin without having to wipe your phone.

I would back up data just to be safe. I rolled back to ics with odin but it stuck in a boot loop after so I had to factory reset it to get the phone to boot properly

I got bootloops both times I downgraded, and had to reset, same as the guy above.
