Root Downgrade to froyo from cm7?

Is it possible to downgrade to froyo from cm7 to apply s-off, cm7 is only rom i can get to flash on incredible and i stupidly applied s-on in multiple attempts to flash different rom and was finally going to try to go back stock still which none of worked, only cm7.
If so how? In adb or hboot?
Should i just do same as in scotty 85 how to unlock, s-off, htc dev?

since you are allready htcdev unlocked, use that guide. you can skip the step to actually unlock ;)

try the commands on cm7. if you get errors post in that thread what they are,and we will help you.

in a worse case,im sure we can help you flash a rooted stock rom in recovery, such as this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737398

describe your method of flashing the the issues/errors you have when trying to flash it. :)

This is what I get in command prompt.

c:\miniadb_inc>adb push mtd0.img /sdcard/
failed to copy 'mtd0.img' to '/sdcard//mtd0.img': Read-only file system

I'm gonna try flashing stock in CWM will let you know what happens.

Thanks.

Went thru all steps up to step 4, then wouldn't reboot, is doing a bootloop at redeye, even after factory reset in HBOOT nothing, just loops. So went thru rest of steps anyway, went just like supposed to, unlocked, flashed recovery, flashed superuser, flashed unrevoked, ( now SOFF again), still wouldn't boot. Updated radio, the one listed w/out HBOOT. Already 1.07. Still bootloop at redeye, tried to restore first backup, in CWM says - error while formatting /data!

Tried flashing another rom, Inc HD XL, did factory data reset in CWM says it formats data, then wipe cache and dalvik, then flash rom, goes ok, wont boot staysbat first HTC Incredible screen, so back into CWM factory data reset, wipe cache and dalvik tried cm7, works. ? Seems like only one that will. Now what?
