Help Downgrading from 2.2.1 to 2.1??

I am wanting to downgrade my Sanyo Zio from 2.2.1 to 2.1 is there a way?

Are you with Sprint or Cricket? Sprint had 2.1 on the Zio but Cricket did not. With Sprint you can, and I wouldn't know where to start, with Cricket you can go 1.6 or 2.2.1
