Help Downgrading

This may have been answered before but having problems finding what I am looking for with the search function. I recently upgraded my samsung galaxy i9000 s from 2.1 to 2.2, but I have had some problems with not having 3g net or edge and therefor want to downgrade back.

I wondered if there was some easy guide, or person who is able to explain out there that could show me how to do it for a nonhacker like me :P

Log onto samfirmware.com choose your firmware, follow their instructions and you'll be back on 2.1

I never used 2.1, but people who used it say that 2.2 is slower. But there should be some improvements, right? :)

First let's try to solve your 3G problem. When you long press the power button, a menu should open. And you can set data network mode on or off. And try to set your APN settings again. Or try to get the settings from your carrier again. Or just contact them :)

About downgrading, you should find a 2.1 ROM at samfirmware.com and flash it by Odin. It isn't too hard and too risky, but still there are little risks.
Download a 2.1 ROM for your phone and your region, download the proper PIT file for it, download Odin and run Odin. Then you'll see what you must do there.

Actually, any guide for upgrading with Odin is actually a guide for downgrading with Odin guide too.
