Download apps without QR code?

Newbie
Hi all; my first post here, and I am a novice, so please forgive if question irrelevant.

I am experimenting with the tiny Archos 28 (Android 2.2.1) in order to assess its usefulness as a PDA.

The Archos 28 has no camera. So, do I have a way to download apps that are downloadable only via a QR code? Can I, for instance, download the QR code as an image through my desktop PC, and email it to my Archos?

All the QR code is is a link to an application in the Android Market place

the easiest method is to simply open it on your computer, see the official name of the app in Android Market then use the 'search' function in Android Market on your phone.

Thanks, understood.

Then, it means that the application I wanted ("Spare Parts") is no longer available, and it could ever only be obtained via the Android Market Place. Strange why it just disappeared.

Greetings popovski,

Spare parts is still listed in the market. I just looked before I posted this message.

Don't know why its not showing up for you, unless its related to device your searching with.

Here is the market link for spare parts

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.androidapps.spare_parts

I think there is an issue with it not showing up for tabs, the market is now "smart"
and can identify if your device can run a certian app, however these assessments are often wrong. I've seen issues with a free version of an app not showing up on my tab but the paid version did. Downloaded the app on my phone side loaded on the tab and works fine.
