Download Booster for Galaxy S4

Seen the download booster in newer Samsung devices? Not only on newer devices, old devices, such as Galaxy S4, Note 2 that already got updated to lollipop, can use the download booster. Download booster is hidden in Settings, but it is available (haven't test it. Wifi at my house is broken). But you need to install Nova Launcher (or other apps that can add app shortcuts/activities.

Steps :

1. Install Nova Launcher

2. Tap and hold until Widgets button appears

3. Add Activities

4. While at Activities selection screen, scroll down until Settings

5. Expand it, and search for Download Booster

Done! Your phone will have download booster without having to buy S5, or newer devices. You can even use the hidden Private mode, and Greyscale Power Saving mode (not ultra power saving mode).

Not to rain on your parade, but I find it difficult to believe that this could be enabled on older devices simply with a firmware update. Even if it was possible, why would it be "hidden" and unavailable from the native TW launcher?

Thats why. I saw this icon when Download booster is on in my S4

which icon are you referring to?

I see a lot of them on the top row. most of which I don't recognize.

You really should keep that battery at 40% or more to get maximum use out of it.

Pulling them down to almost flat shortens the life span.

Yup that's the Download Booster notification but it's greyed-out.
