Download errors?

I tried to update "Verizon Support And Protection", and " Facebook Messenger " in the play store and get an error 944 and it fails to update. I uninstalled FB messenger and tried to install it again, now it won't install and says the same thing.

Tried restarting my phone, tried turning off WiFi and using data, still the same error. I posted this here because it could be a Verizon thing, since messenger isn't the only app messing up, it's probably not FB. Could be Google, or anything else. Anyone else know what to do?

Just got that with YouTube's update. I tried three times with no luck then hit 'update all' and it worked. It was the only update but I gave that a shot anyway. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not really.

Well I originally got this issue by attempting to update them all at once. It is annoying for sure. I would not have uninstalled messenger if I didn't think I could get it back, since I use it

Facebook was doing that to me last week, I figured it was a bad upload to Google Play, it cleared up after a day.

I had similar issues a while back, deleted Play Store and reinstalled it.

of course, I had to go to the Web on my PC and tell it to download.

Before you delete Play Store, go into Settings/apps/app mgr/PlayStore and delete the cache and data info.

Lot of folks report that takes care of it.

It worked fine this morning, yesterday I did try clearing the data in settings for the play store and that didn't help. I'm glad the glitch is gone.
