Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

Sorry, the market (Google Play) doesn't work that way. If there is an issue accessing Play directly from your device, we might be able to help you get that sorted out.

Why not let Google push the app straight to your device?

for various reasons

1) I dont have wifi on my android device and I need to download the apps to my PC and then transfer them via bluetooth to my android device

2) browsing Google Play is much more easy in my desktop PC and after I have opened many app webpages in my PC, I just need to download the apps and then transfer them to my android device

I hope you mean you don't have access to wifi , because I can't think of a single current Android device that doesn't have wifi.

If you log into play from your phone and then log into play on a PC using the same account, you can browse on the PC and push apps to your phone.

As I said, Google Play is not setup to download .apk's and then copy them to devices. It is also a violation of the terms of use of Play.

If you really need to do it this way, there are alternate legitimate sources like getjar.com that may let you download the .apk file. If nothing else, you can find the apps in Play and then contact the developer to see if they will allow you to download the .apk file from their website.

that is serious inconvenience, anyway...

Connect to wifi on your device. Login to your Google account on your device. Open up the Play Store on your device to make sure it works.

And that's pretty much it. Your device will show up on the desktop website and apps will be pushed to your phone.

yup, no problem at all

dunno, maybe it's that the locale of Google Play website on my PC is different than on my phone? or that I use Opera browser on my PC?
:/

I just fired up Linux on my laptop and logged in to Play using Opera, so I don't think that's it. What are the different locales between your Phone and PC?

Hi. I have exactly the same request. For instance, I purchased Asphalt 6 weeks ago, a 592MB file, and it took ages to download 237mb and I cant seem to get further. It downloads about 50-60Mb and then it gets interrupted. even though it doesnt quite start all over again it ignores most of the previous session. Eg, you are on 27mb and you download a further 60mb, it then gets interrupted for some reason and when you restart the download it starts at 40mb. I cant get past 237mb though. I have had it get to 310mb and when it got interrupted, it started again at 237mb. Very frustrating. Same with the sims game. Have stop trying to download anything over 50mb. Downloading to desktop 1st would be ideal.

In cases like this I would contact the developer directly and explain the situation. They may be able to give you a direct download for their app.

Thats weird. i can dl a 200mb app, for example, in 10 minutes or so on wifi.
if you don't have wifi, maybe drink a cup of coffee at MickyD's and dl all your stuff while you're there.

You dont live in South Africa.
Most home adsl lines are 384k speed.
They are promising to upgrade to 1mb soon. Hooray.

Have asked them already.
Their reply was "Unfortunately, the files can be saved only directly on your phone. I am sorry for the inconveniences."

after accessing google play on Opera mini browser of my phone and downloading apps it says " download will begin shortly" but the d/l does not take place anytime. Also, i can't open google play app directly from the phone--it always says network error.

how to downlaod apps from google play??

For users looking for a way to download apps directly to their PC, we just released a desktop client called SnapPea: SnapPea - Android's Best Friend You can download from over 100,000 free APKs from our content partner, 1Mobile.

As others have pointed out here, there's no way to download APK files directly from Google Play.

SnapPea is currently in beta and we'd love to get your feedback.
