Help Download Mode

My power\Sleep button recently stopped working so i was gonna take it into at&t and try and get it replaced but i am rooted rom and whatnot and i need to get into download mode you need the power button and i made a jig but the phone needs to be off and right when i put the battery in it turns on =\
Any suggestion pleaseeeee

If you install Clock Work Mod it has a feature to reboot the phone into Download mode.

Thanks but i just decided to brick it and you cant unbrick without the power button so they gave me a new 1 =D
