downloaded app

[aapdroid]

Hello:

I downloaded an app, abc.apk, but it would not install because it was not from the market. I had to go to the settings to allow non-market applications to install.
The application was downloaded again with the name changed to abc-1.apk and installed.
The question I have is where can I find the two downloaded files? Once the applications are installed, what happens with the downloaded files?

thanks.

You dont need the apk file after you install.

The question I have is where can I find the two downloaded files?

Well, where did you download them to? That will be where they are. If for some reason you dont know where you saved them to, you can use a file manager like Astro to search for them, or connect your phone to your pc via usb and use Disk Drive mode to search for it there.

Get a file manager like Astro if you don't already.

Where it is all depends on the browser you're using. Some install to that same path /download/ , while others like skfire saves to /downloads/

Just wanted to say thanks for the Astro recommendation, which helped me with the same issue!
