downloaded apps not moving to sd card

Earlier whatever apps I downloaded I was able to move it ti sd card. But recently I have found that all apps are stored in internal memory. The move to sd card button is not highlighted. This is eating up my phone memory.

Hope anyone has solution.

There are a lot of applications that aren't written to operate from the SD card. You will find this holds true for most games which are some of the larger apps in one's arsenal. I don't know if they are written that way because of the speed of access is superior and necessary from the internal storage and the SD card is just not fast enough or if there is another reason. I have no solution beyond searching for a similar app from the market that will function from the SD storage.

Is there a way to know before downloading whether the app is for sd or internal memory?

What is the benefit of having high expandable memory when limiting factor ia available internal memory.
