Downloading Apps

I got the Hero a couple of hours ago and everything seems to work TV, Nav, NFL, Youtube, Google maps. The problem I am having is when I attempt to download an app from Android Market. I click on Battery Status-free and then Install, OK and I get the message Starting download..... and it never completes the download. What am I doing wrong?

I'm totally confused. Everything on the phone works except the app downloads. Everyone I try to download gives me the same result. The status bar says "Currently downloading" and the app I'm trying to download says "Starting download..." and never completes the download. I've let it sit for over an hour and nothing changes. Any clues?

Wow! I tried several times this morning to download different apps and all of a sudden it downloaded one properly. I didn't do anything different, maybe it took overnight for Google or Android or whatever to set up my account. Anyway it's working now.
