Downloading Aps

Hi I am Rollerworld, titled Rollerworld because I am a quad skater. I live in Ipswich Suffolk England Europe aged 69, I have a SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 GT-19300 smart phone and I need to know the process in detail on how to download some apps for this phone from the app store.

I am looking for free apps because a, they are free and b, I do not want to put a card on the store.

I require a highly recommended app that will show my GPS position in case my car breaks down to give this info to the insurance vehicle recovery company to get myself and car occupants home.

I require a recommended app that will show nearest United Kingdom gas station.

Thanks in anticipation Rollerworld.

Welcome to Android Forums Rollerworld. Glad to have you join our community. I may be incorrect, but I believe that you will have to register a card with the Play Store to gather any apps, free or pay. I'm certain you will find the apps you seek from the Play Store and to down load them and install is as simple as giving the desired app a click. There is a search engine in place at the top of the Play Store page that you can search for the apps you desire. Once you dnld an app it will be in your app drawer. You can then open it from there or create a shortcut or widget to access the app from a screen of your desire. I do hope this helps. For more detailed questions about your phone you will want to check out the discussion area that we have just for your S3. Here is a link to that area: http://androidforums.com/forums/samsung-galaxy-s3.1223/
Have fun and thanks again for joining these forums.
