Help Downloading Contacts from Google Contacts

kn0w1

Lurker
I uploaded all of the contacts from my iPhone to Google contacts. While it did not want to upload all of them , I dealt with it. Now I can't figure out how to get them into my phone. I don't want to have to go to Google every time I want to send a text message, and I don't want to have to enter them all manually. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanx in advance.

If you've uploaded them to google, on your phone, you should just need to enable contacts via the sync menu and they should appear.

Are Google contacts checked when you open the phonebook, hit menu, then contacts to display? (the exact location of that submenu might differ on your phone, but that's where it is on mine).

I found a screen inside Contacts > Menu > Accounts called Sync Settings that shows my gmail account. When I tap it it shows a box I can check to sync email. I'm not seeing Google contacts anywhere in the Contacts area.

Seems like I've fixed it. I went to the Apps screen and hit the Gmail icon there and went through the Existing Account etc process and it synced all my contacts. Thanks for your help, maybe this will help someone else.
