Downloading large files???

Got a quick question and l havent seen it addressed in here yet. I can't seem to down load large files. Like 500mbs or more. Is there something special l am suposed to do? Just using the standard browsers download option.

Also l have a tab 7, nook hd, nook hd+ and a had a original nexus 7(it died so l returned it). Now out of all the screens the samsungs have the lowest resolution but look the Best. The note 8 looks so much better than the rest of them then. It's so clean and clear. Now playing games. I installed real racing 3 on all of them and again the note 8 just looks amazing and better than the others with the higher resolution. Just wondering why is that?

Ok l downloaded a 1.3gb file with Dolphin browser instead of chrome and it worked perfectly. Wonder why l couldn't do it with chrome? Guess it doesn't matter as it is working with Dolphin.

I've downloaded ROMs of 2Gb more than a dozen times with the stock browser without any problems.

Downloaded a 1.2gb file through the stock browser and it worked(first time l used it as it came with chrome and l apparently had it as default), tried to download the same file through chrome is it stopped about 15% in just like it has been. Downloaded it with Dolphin and it worked. So apparently its something with chrome. So l uninstalled the chrome updates (can't uninstall the whole thing since it came with the tablet) and reinstalled them. Tried to download the file again and it still wont do it. Guess chrome doesn't like me.

Just another reason not to use chrome on the tablet. Its been very buggy and it works even worse on my tab 7.0 plus. Sad thing is l use chrome on my computer at home and it was nice having them tied together. Oh well

Ok uninstalled chrome updates and I can now download larger files with it. The screen is also sized properly now that I have uninstalled the updates. Happy to have chrome working properly

I stopped using chrome regularly on both my Note 8.0 and Note 2. For whatever reason, it's been really buggy. Especially now that I noticed the OEM browser can link to my chrome bookmarks, I realized I didn't need to use chrome on my tablet.

How did you get it to link?

Quite honestly, I don't really know how it actually happened, but I'm guessing it was through the Sync settings for the account.

Menu>SystemSettings>Google>SelectGoogleAccount (if you have multiples, like me)>Scroll down to make sure Sync Internet is toggled.

It could have been that the bookmarks showed up a long time ago and I just never noticed, since I hadn't used the stock browser in so long, but they are all there, in folders like I prefer having them.

Does it work for files that aren't able to download from gmail, stock. I've been using a different app, but may switch to this, if it does

If you can link an example, I'll try it on both my phone & tablet.

I have the PRO version,FWIW(removes ads, doesn't add any features, I believe).

I'll email you attachment to download.

All 3 files you sent (.jpg/.mp3/.wmv) downloaded/played/stored to their respective places w/o any prompt or choice as to which app to use to facilitate. (DOWNLOAD BLAZER or STOCK/CHROME BROWSERS).

The same developer has another app in the store:DOWNLOAD ALL FILES.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hwkrbbt.downloadall

Gonna load it up for future use & will post when the situation arises.

Well, that didn't take long.
I was using APK EXTRACTOR on my HTC ONE to send myself apks that the GOOGLE PLAY STORE deemed incompatible w/the GN8.

Anyway, one of the options to d/l the APKs was DOWNLOAD ALL FILES . I didn't actually need it in this situation, but, nice to know that it is up to the task.
