Dragon touch and SD card issue

[Android Question]

My friend has a dragon touch tablet which she input an SD card to save pics etc. The tablet is still saying there is not enough room to save things, does she need to change settings? Is there an online manual???

How much free space is there on the partition of the card she's trying to save to and how large a file is she trying to save? And is she trying to save to the card, or does she just think she is,but she's really telling the computer to save to internal storage?
