Dragon Touch Y88X Root Help

Has anyone been able to root this new device by tabletexpress.com?
Model Y88X
It runs on the new andriod 4.4.2 kitkat,
firmware v1.0rc7,
kernel 3.4.39 ldj@exdroid#93 Wed Nov 19 16:51:00 CST 2014,
Build number astar_chiphd-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L20141126 test-keys
Its a QuadCore-A33

Any Help is much obliged!
 
This might be 7 months late, but I just made an account to tell you I have the same exact tablet and towelroot doesnt work but I tried Kingoroot and it worked. good luck.
 
Just want to conform post above. Only PC version of Kingo Root will root Dragon Touch Y88X with 4.4.2 Android and V1.0rc7 firmware version.
I try everything from first 10 search from google about rooting this tablet and nothing is work, only Kingo root.

P.S. Don't give up on first or second unsuccessful root, try couple time and you don't need install Super SU for control access, Kingo root will install and integrated own SuperUser.

I know this might be off topic, but I am simply not sure where and how to ask about this, so here goes.

I purchased a Dragon Touch Y88X to use as a "remote control" for a new TouchMix sound system our school just had installed. Their Android app said it required a device to run Android 4.4.2 or higher....this tablet runs KitKat 4.4.2 so it should have been fine. But every time I tried to install, it kept saying "app incompatible with your device". I emailed the TouchMix folks and they clarified that they have the wrong info on their app download page and that I need to update my tablet to 4.4.4. Fine.

I saw no function for updates anywhere on the tablet itself, and every online search I did sent me to basically product review videos on YouTube where some yahoo just tells me how awesome this tablet is. Very frustrating. Can you help me?

Historically, Dragon Touch does not issue updates. Updates are hardware specific--you can't take "just any" update software, you need one written by the vendor for that particular device. So ... basically, you're stuck.
