Drained lithium-ion battery

I just got to know that we cant really drained this kind of battery to 0%! Ive did it twice! Will my battery be less powerful now? So far ive noticed that it wont last long anymore. Im not sure because of my frequent use or because of the battery itself. Can draining the battery actually cause the battery to be less powerful? i only did it twice though.

It's not good for the battery, but running until shutdown twice should not make any significant difference to the battery longevity.
