I got the dreaded 'blank screen' on my Desire Z during my first day of holiday, at the same time which I lost my job and have extremely important texts on the phone that I NEED to be able to retrieve for evidence purposes.
I am trying to connect the Desire Z to the PC to get as much information as I can using HTC Sync (I assume this is the best method?)
I remember connecting the phone to HTC Sync before and I'm sure when plugging the USB that it automatically goes to 'Charge only.' I need the phone to sync but obviously can't see where on the screen the sync part is, the phone won't connect to the computer at the moment, but it does show the charge light and the PC is acknowledging the contact via a 'Windows sound'. Can anyone help with this? Maybe a screenshot of the phone even, or a photo with that screen so I can see where to press.
