hey,
I notice the true gurus have passed on you for a day now so i guess I'll try to offer my humble advice, first off, I've never EVER used a mac so i hope my point gets across. Actualy I take that back, I once played "oregon trail" on a apple IIe at a school, back in 3rd grade... But, do you even have usb mass storage access? you may need the driver some other people have had to get, did you look at this thread? http://androidforums.com/casio-g-zone-commando/337039-driver-files.html
It's like 6 below yours right now, maybe 12 after I post....

Now I do realize you are on mac, so hopefully you can mac magic some way to find an equivelant or emulate or something. It's funny, Mac is so easy a cave man can do it, until you need to connect it to a nice, less expensive, open source coded, people/economy friendly device, then you must become a rocket surgeon... unfortunately I can't help you beyond getting your device actualy connected not just charging. Oh and usb debug mode... I can do more stuff on mine with it enabled... maybe something to look at.

Good Luck,
John

Were you ever able to get it connected on the macbook? I've been trying and am running into the same issue you are both with PDAnet and with Easytether (however there its not autodiscovering it as an interface). As soon as I try this with a Droid X it works fine. You can blame the mac all you want, but its the Casio.

To my knowledge, casio never released a mac driver for the commando... Unless somebody knows how to port drivers to mac, your s.o.l.
