Droid 2 Battery & Charging Issues?

I own a Droid 2 and lately I have noticed a very major difference between the charging and my phone's battery life. For one the process of my phone charging has been weird. I would plug it in on 5% but 2 minutes later it would show that its now on 60%. Today I let my phone die than charge it overnight. I woke up a 1:47 PM turned it on used the Browser, Checked Facebook and at 2:34 it was down to 10%. My phone literally drained within an hour. Is their any tips or tricks to help me or can anyone diagnose the problem?

if you take out the battery
lay on flat surface, spin it, turn it over, spin it
if one side or both spins easy, battery is bad
