Probly a dumb question but I've downloaded d2 bootstrap from mediafire and am not sure how to install it. Its on the root of my sd card so do I go into cw and flash it like a rom or what. Aleady have everything downloaded to try gb so this seems to be my only hangup.

install like a reg app

Doesn't give me the option. I can only open the file and view it. I've got install from unknown sources checked in settings but makes no difference.

No its not. And when I look at it with astro file manager it shows up like a file instead of an app and gives no option to extract anything. I've downloaded it twice from mediafire with the same results.

Weird. I just downloaded it using dolphin browser hd on a hunch and was able to rename it from. Txt to. Apk before saving it. Then was able to go into astro file manager and install it. Never gave me that option with the stock browser.

try installing app installer from the market then installing it through app installer ive found its the easiest way to install

I had the same issue. Use root explorer and rename the file to .apk and save it. Once that's complete you should be able to long press and select the install opt.

I believe that's because the mediafire file *is* a .txt file
probably renamed by someone to avoid problems, as renaming a file to a *.apk is fairly simple

Shane, it's not a good idea to post your email address in public forums, unless you're lonely and like lots of email. :D

I removed it from the above posts.
