Droid 2 eMail app is same as Messaging???

I was going to set up email on my Droid 2 and when I open the email app (just called eMail) all I have there is a messaging folder. It doesn't even look like an email app. I do NOT want to send text messages. I want to send and receive emails. When I open the Messaging app it looks exactly the same as the eMail app. ??? Is there another email app I can use with my company's IMAP mail?

the gmail app should be used if you want to get gmail. the email app is for every other email account, like your company email. The messaging app is for texting.
