Hi,

Today I noticed there is a preferred network mode menu on my droid 2 global. There are cdma without evdo and cdma with evdo.

What are the differences? Battery wise?

Thanks in advance!

I am assuming since this is a globe trotting phone, you have the option to turn off evdo because sometimes you may visit or live in a place where EVDO is not available. It might save you some battery life if you turn it off since you can't use it.

Normally, battery life is affected when your phone is trying to connect to signal source that is not available or has a very low reception. So that function on your Droid 2 global is actually really helpful.

I'm moving this thread to the Droid 2 subforum just in case others have actual experience using this function. Because I can totally be off-base.:o
