Help droid 2 wont turn on

i have a motorola droid 2 and it wont turn on only to the motorola sign screen but not to the main menu. also it only turns on with the charger on..... can it be a virus. help please..

sounds like a battery issue had a customer come in with the MOTO Devour where his phone would only turn on when connected to the charger... and would only get the the moto logo.... swapped the battery out and it was fine.. try getting a new battery and will probably fix the problem

You might try just taking the battery out and putting it back in before you try to replace it. There could just be a loose contact.
