Welcome to AF! Bummer you're having trouble -- hard to say if you can use the phone or not. Usually you should be able to use the directional keys and spacebar to select stuff. Though if you find that those aren't working it might be time to give a call to whomever you bought the phone from.

Unfortunately it sounds like a hardware failure. As ALP suggested, you could try the Droid 2 forum, or if you can't find any assistance there, try your network provider.
