Help Droid 4 Connectivity Issues

Hi Guys,

Lately, my battery absolutely sucks. Prior, I had made a ton of adjustments (not use GPS, not auto updating social feeds, dimmer display, etc.) to help with battery life and those changes worked great. Now, I can't even get 6 full hours of the phone sitting on my desk at work.

What I've noticed is that when I use the phone, the locations services icon is displaying, as well as the 4G connectivity symbol (as normal). When I hit the standby button to shut the display off, if I leave the phone on standby for 5-10 minutes, when I hit the standby button again to check for messages, all connectivity icons are still displayed.

Prior, when going to standby and turning back on, it would take several seconds for connectivity to re-establish. Now, it's as if connectivity is not disconnecting when in standby at all - which is what I think is killing my battery.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've tried powering off to reset and that does not work. Thanks!

bump - anyone know anything about the phone staying constantly connected to 4G and GPS even after standby button has been hit?

Have you installed an app lately? An app might be the culprit, IMO. Based on your battery stats, what's the main battery killer?

Battery status is as follows:

Display 41% - I have display brightness set to automatic and screen timeout set to lowest setting.

com.motorola.friendfeed 24% - I have no idea what this is and it wasn't running before. Included packages has a ton of apps/programs that apparently use this. Never noticed it before.

Android OS 19%

Cell Standby 5%

Phone Idle 5%

rlid 3%

I would hazard the same guess, using the built-in social networking features on the Gallery and Widgets will be a constant battery drain in a phone that struggles with battery life due to the 4G and 3G radios constantly pinging.
