Help droid is only displaying 17 contacts? a lot are missing

I have the original moto droid, and today it decided to only display 17 contacts out of my 200, no idea how this happened, or if it deleted everyone, does anyone know how to get all my contacts back?

Check and see if it is only displaying a certain group of contacts.

Go to your contacts, then press the menu soft key, then select display options, then press your account name, with the > beside it and it should open up showing you various groups that your contacts are sorted into. make sure System Group: My Contacts is selected, and if it already is, see if selecting All Other Contacts fixes the issue.
