Root Droid Maxx won't connect to Wi-Fi

Under settings, Wi-Fi, when I touch ON, it goes right back to OFF. Under Advanced, the top 2 category's are greyed out. Bluetooth does same thing.

You're the second person I have seen that has reported something like that.

Does this still happen if you restart the phone?

Do you have any apps installed which are supposed to help extend battery life? Something like Juicedefender or Greenify?

Are you rooted or not? (This is an all things root forum, but just wanted to check.)

I think the way forward is to do a factory data reset, particularly if you haven't done one since the KitKat update. Make sure that you have backed up your internal storage (photos, videos, etc.) If the phone still isn't working after a factory reset, it would suggest a hardware failure and warranty replacement is in order.

Did factory reset, worked for about 8 hours then started doing the same thing as before.

It's either a hardware problem or you have an app that is doing this. You can try restarting in safe mode and see what happens - though you shouldn't run any apps in safe mode. If it doesn't happen again, it might be an app that you've installed. If it does happen again, it' probably a hardware problem and you should get a warranty replacement.

Another idea is to remove the apps you've installed one of a few at a time and restart the phone. If it happens again, those apps probably weren't the cause; if it doesn't, then maybe one of those apps was causing the problem.

If you do a warranty replacement and the same problem happens again, more than likely it's a problem with one of your apps.
