Droid Mini or RAZR M?

I have a RAZR M and I am very happy with it. A friend of mine has her contract up and I am trying to decide to recommend the RAZR M vs. the Droid Mini. At first I thought obviously the Mini - but ...

I compared the phone specs and it looks like from the specs that the RAZR M has better battery life.

The M has a super ameloid display. The Mini - LCD. downgrade?

The person I'm helping is 65+ years old so the pixel count isn't something she will be able to see. However viewing angle issues would be noticeable. Battery life is a very important feature to her.

I know most of the rest of the specs are better and the OK Google Now is kool. But the RAZR M seems to have advantages in the areas that are more important to her. And I have to filter out in my mind that I am not the one who will be using the phone as I'm more into kool toys.

I also know the RAZM M as a very good phone and that it's a safe recommendation.

But - I'm having a hard time picking last year's phone over the "latest and greatest". And I have to also say I think some corners were cut on the Droid Mini in not at least matching the RAZR M on more specs.

Thoughts?

The specs on the Mini are far greater than the M. You would notice a big difference in speed in just swiping screens. The camera is easily better, the battery can go a day and a half depending on what you do with it. It is no comparison between the two except for the size. The LCD screen looks very pretty and very bright in person btw. I used to own the droid razr maxx hd, which is easily a better phone than the Razr M. I own the Droid mini now, and my Mini is way faster than my old maxx HD. Everything is literally better on my Mini then the Maxx HD except for the battery life for obvious reasons. The Mini has wireless charging built in FYI.
