well im on my 2nd droid pro since march 16th and still having problems with the my 2nd pro. so my 14 days arent up with verizon to change phones yet so im now considering the r2d2.
 
my first pro i had for 4hrs and it just restarted itself constantly. the pro i have now in the week ive owned it restarted 2 or 3 times and when i txt my gf it shows up under other peoples name but shows up under her number. then when i turned it off and on after that it makes weird beeping noises on restart and shut down
 
my gfs brother works for verizon he he said i should do that every day or every other day with smart phones....... that doesnt sound right to me. i never had to pull the battery on my ozone how true is this?
 
I can understand restarting the phone every day or two but the phone doing it by itself or requiring a battery pull isn't right, honestly I would suggest the new thunderbolt not a phone that had been out for 9 months
 
I restart my phone about once a week. It depends on performance. Random restarts have happened to me, but never more than once a month I would say.
 
I've had a few random restarts recently but not sure why. Recently a bunch of my apps including my launcher were updated so I'm wondering if it's the result of an update in my case. Prior to that my R2D2 had been damn near bulletproof.
 
My R2D2 started restarting every other day since that update was pushed to us a while back. I tried everything. I took everything off, removed my launcher, didn't even use widgets for the longest time. I never did find the cause. After i bought my Xoom, I switched back to a feature phone to save money on data.

I did drop it on very hard surfaces at least 5 times. At least 2 of those times were really bad falls that would have obliterated any HTC phone.
 
I just got my r2d2 a month ago or so and am still learning about it. Haven't had any issues with it. Looking forward to learning more by listening a lot in these forums
