Root Droid Razr ICS Root Question

keyara412

Lurker
I have the Droid Razr and I rooted it once I got it...mainly to download roms and use the ps3 controller with it. In July I received the ICS 4.0.4 update. The superuser app is still in my phone but now when I try to pair the ps3 controller with sixaxis compatibility it says denied. Do I need to re-root the phone? Do I need to delete Superuser somehow? help....

Welcome to the AF forums keyara412 :)

Honestly i have never dealt with a problem like this but Superuser probably isn't behind it, it could be a bad root, i don't know for sure you could try and post your issue here:

Droid Razr - All-Things-Root

Hope this helps, sorry i couldnt be of any more help to you.

Welcome Keyara!:)
We are glad you have joined us here at AF.

I have moved this into the Razr 'root' forum for further discussion, since those that have the same phone will be more able to accurately answer your question.

Does SU recognize that the phone is rooted?

If not, use Matt's 1.81 Utility to reroot (likely what you'll have to do).

use root checker to see if you are actually rooted. I noticed when 4.0.1 came out and i thought i was rooted, only a few apps recognized it. i was only partially rooted and had to re-root
