My bet is it is another Verizon ploy. Sure they will "unlock" the razor, but in order for it to work you will need to add a highly overpriced international plan. I highly doubt it will be truly unlocked where you can just put in a different sim card and off you go. That's usually how verizon plays their little games.
Looks like we'll also be able to use this amazing device on GSM networks. This was reported a few days ago, but has NOW officially been confirmed that the Razr/Razr Maxx and Droid 4 will also be supported along with the Rezound. Just another big selling point to buy this phone over others.
I was surprised to find out that this phone could receive an GSM signal at all. Also, does the maxx have user accessible simm card? If not, how would one use it internationally w/o being prisoner to Verizon?
