Help Droid Razr XT-910 Deleting Old Messages

Am a new Droid user as you can tell by the question. Somehow I have all emails I have ever sent or at least since 2010 on my new phone..I am guessing it's linked to my IP'S Server...no matter how many I delete, more old one appear. How can I delete all old sent emails? Do I have to do them one by one? I also have really old emails in "All Mail" which I would like to delete without having to do it one by one if possible..

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is only a guess...I'm new at these phones too.

That said, I think its the sync settings...open your email, touch the menu button, touch "more", select settings (may have to scroll down to see it), select your email account, touch "sync inboxes and labels"....you should be able to figure it out from there, but I have mine set at 4 days and I only sync the inbox and sent mail.

You may have to do that for each email account you have...I only have 1 thats connected to the phone (makes things much simpler, LOL).

Like I said...thats only a guess...I've been messing around with my Maxx for a week now, after only 3 factory resets I have it where I want it, LOL....gotta learn somehow, the hard way has always worked for me.

I tried what you said and everything is already set at sync 4 days...so that's not it I guess. I might also have to do the factory reset in the end.

I can log on via computer but there are only current emails in the sent folder in my computer as I do not keep old or unnecessary correspondence...so I am presuming that when setting up my phone and syncing it with my ISP's server, that is where all the old emails came into the picture as they must be stored at the ISP? because they are not in my computer. Does this make sense?
