Root Droid root same as Milestone?

Hey guys. I'lve been thinking about rooting my motorola milestone (unbranded from germany) as that I can overclock and get some of the cool apps that are out there. My question is: is the proces the same and do I get as many options on the milestone as with the droid? The hardware is the same but there's so little information on the milestone as compared to the droid.

If you use the droid root method you will be left with a brick, its not the same hardware. http://androidforums.com/motorola-milestone/37528-root-your-milestone.html That thread will show you how to do it for your milestone.... Happy Rooting.

Thanks a lot! Can I also install custom ROMs on the milestone? I've just seen a video on youtube explaining the operator "hack" and overclocking but not ROMs?
