droid tether to ps3

I have the droid X. curREntly use easy tether for internet connection on laptop through the droid. I am wondering if I can use the droid to connect internet to ps3. I assume this will have to be done through ethernet cab.e connected to laptop. Help please???????????????

Two ways. One, connect to laptop via usb, then get a crossover ethernet cable, connect from pc to ps3, then bridge the connection. Two, tether wirelessly (wifi tether) from the phone to ps3.

Keep in mind, this will work for your ps3 to access the internet. But if you think you will be able to play online games, you wont. The lag is HORRIBLE, not to mention a ping time that's usually between 100-300ms, when a normal internet connection is around 10ms. So you will have a very hard time playing any kind of action game at all.

ok thanks, Even thouth it wont work for games, I still want to try to connect it to see how it works. I know how to connect to laptop via usb, and I have a ethernet cable hooked between laptop and ps3, but how do i bridge the connection. What setting do i need to change on laptop and ps3

You need a crossover cable I believe, not a regular cable. And I cant tell you how to bridge it unless I know what OS your computer is running.

I run my internet at home exclusively through my droid 2 and have had no issues at all. i can even play call of duty and world of warcraft and have really great latency. Its worth a go, honestly.
