Droid Theft vs. iPhone Theft

[saltyduck]

So here in NYC area a big issue is iphone theft. People are getting knifed and beaten up with baseball bats for iphones. I never hear about folks getting attacked for their droids. Is it just because people have more iPhones than droids?

In my area I've heard there is a rise in people getting robbed or their phone getting stolen and the media mention it is iPhones, but I believe it may be all smartphones regardless.

Yea I heard about this a while back too. I agree with the above the Media just generalized everything with iPhones since its what was "hot" at the time.

Yeah it's really all smartphones. Thieves know to look for Apple's though just because they have a high resale value.

Plus the media is all about Apple, they don't even see Android half the time.

There's an advertising pitch for you... Get an android phone, you're 50 percent safer from knife fights than iPhone users! Oh my
